He didn't search for a problem to solve.
The problem found him.

01

A friend's office. A broken system.

It started in the office of a friend who worked as a freight coordinator at a logistics firm. Remi watched him struggle — not with the work, but with the system surrounding it. Jobs came only through agents. Every agent added cost, friction, and delay. Back-loading was a constant waste. Empty trips drained margins on both sides.

The whole process was simultaneously stressful, expensive, and deeply fragile — entirely dependent on relationships and informal trust rather than any real structure.

02

He traced it to both ends of the chain.

Most people would have stopped there. Remi followed the thread. He didn't just see a coordinator struggling — he saw the shipper paying more than the job was worth because agents added their cut. He saw the carrier waiting in queues and chasing jobs through middlemen when there was cargo available. He saw the end consumer absorbing all of that inefficiency in the final price.

"I immediately related it to the owner of the load and the final consumer of whatever was being transported."

03

The vision arrived in one moment.

Right there, Remi envisioned a different future. A shipper posting a load and reaching verified trucks directly — no unnecessary extras, no agent markup. A carrier sitting in their office and receiving job assignments without queues, without third-party rubbish. A structured payment system that meant nobody had to chase, nobody had to trust blindly, and nobody could disappear with money that wasn't theirs.

But what set this vision apart from any other logistics idea was what came next — Remi saw the youth opportunity. He saw that the coordinator role, done digitally and properly, was a genuine income business that could be started by anyone with a phone and a work ethic. No capital. No connections. No office. Just hustle and structure.

That is when BtSh became more than a logistics platform. It became a deliberate instrument of economic empowerment.

Money was never
the motivation.

Remi travels. He has built businesses that generate income independently. By the time BtSh took shape, financial necessity wasn't the driver — the compulsion to build something that matters was.

He builds because he is a builder — academically trained, statutorily registered, and constitutionally inclined toward creating things that outlast the moment. BtSh is an expression of that nature applied to the biggest structural problem in Nigerian commerce.

🛡️
Business owners deserve protection Every shipper posting a load on BtSh has their payment secured before anything moves. That is non-negotiable.
📱
A phone is enough capital The dispatcher and Partner Manager models require nothing except a phone and a willingness to work. That is a deliberate design decision.
🤝
Trust must be structural, not personal Nigerian freight runs on informal trust. When that trust breaks, there is no system to catch it. BtSh replaces personal trust with structural guarantees.
🌍
Poverty is reduced by income, not charity Creating structured, accessible income models for youth is the most direct path to economic impact at scale.

Trained to build structures.
Compelled to build systems.

Remi Adepoju is academically trained and statutorily registered as a builder — a profession rooted in the discipline of understanding how things hold together, how load is distributed, how a foundation determines everything that stands above it.

That instinct — structural, precise, load-bearing — runs directly through BtSh. The escrow layer is a foundation. The dispatcher system is load distribution. The milestone confirmation flow is a structure that holds when any individual element under stress. Nothing about the platform's architecture is accidental.

Before BtSh, Remi built businesses across sectors — earning the kind of financial independence that meant BtSh could be built with patience rather than desperation. A platform built under financial pressure gets shortcuts. BtSh didn't.

"I love to create things. I want to really impact the lives of business owners in a way I can."
